Student Travel Awards for 2007

Students planning presenting a contributed oral paper or a poster at the WOS annual meeting are invited to apply for a travel award from the Society. These awards are both need- and merit-based, and are intended to encourage student participation by defraying part of the cost of attending the meeting.

To apply, send (as an email attachment) an expanded, detailed abstract of the paper (MS Word or pdf) to be presented (not to exceed two, double-spaced typed pages) and a budget of anticipated travel and subsistence costs to Tim O'Connell (oconnet@okstate.edu).

Please only include in the budget anticipated travel expanses that will not be covered by any other source, e.g., travel awards from a student's home department. Applicants will be notified of the Review Committee's decisions by Friday, 23 February.

Application deadline: 19 January 2007

Note: Students applying for travel awards must still submit a regular abstract for the scientific program (deadline 2 Feb. 2007) and register for the meeting. Vist the meeting web site for details.
