On-campus lodging
Most meeting participants will want to stay close to the activities of the meeting by staying on campus. Modern college dorm rooms (single and double) are be available for a low cost ($30 per person per night for double occupancy or $35 per person per night for single occupancy), including linens and shared bathroom facilities. To reserve campus housing, you must prepay for your room when you register.
If you elect double occupancy and plan to room with a registered guest, each adult person in the room must pay the daily rate. If you need a suite to accommodate a family, please contact Erica Cooney-Connor (econnor@hws.edu or (315) 781-3103).
Parking on campus is free.
Off-campus lodging
For those participants who do not wish to stay on campus, guest rooms have been blocked off at the nearby Ramada Inn, Geneva Lakefront (41 Lakefront Dr., Routes 5 & 20, Geneva, NY). The Ramada is a short 1.5-mile drive (and slightly longer walk with hills) from campus. We can also arrange for shuttle service in the morning and evening between campus and the hotel.
Twenty rooms are being held (first come, first serve) for conference attendees until 5 April 2010. We negotiated a special rate ($99 for Thursday evening and $120 for Friday and Saturday evenings each, plus taxes). You can call the Ramada Geneva Lakefront (www.genevaramada.com) for reservations at 315-789-0400. When booking a room, please indicate that you are with the Hobart Conference of the Wilson Ornithological Society.
Meals
In addition to normal registration costs, a meal plan will also be available. Because the meeting is hosted on a college campus, you will be able to pre-purchase a "meal plan," which will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner through the food services at the Colleges, for $45 (the plan will not include the closing Banquet, tickets for which attendees should request separately when registering). Hobart and William Smith Colleges have a wonderful kitchen with tasty meals and many options to choose from for each meal. If you wish to purchase a meal plan, you must prepay with submission of registration fees. If you do not elect the pre-paid meal plan, you can pay (using cash or credit card) at the door for each meal you elect to eat.
Registrants can pay for on campus housing and/or a meal plan by check or money order when mailing their registration form, or by using a credit card and our secure online form.
